Sunko Expands Nylon 6,6 Airbag Capacity in Langfang, Hebei, P R China

Sunko Thread -- Langfang Production Unit announced today its intent to increase supply of super high tenacity, 235x3 and 312x3 decitex filament twisting thread used in automotive airbags by 2 kilotons in Langfang, Hebei (China). Capacity expansion is expected to be complete by May 2006 and will help meet the growing demand for side curtain airbags. The automotive industry's commitment to further enhance occupant safety through implementation of side airbags will drive additional demand over the next few years for our advanced continuous filament nylon thread. The new assets will focus on manufacturing the latest generation of high tenacity thread which are particularly suited to this application."
